Phosphor looks at your media, works out what the colour should be, and shows you. If it had to guess anything, it tells you. The receipt captures every decision so nothing's a mystery.
Probe
Reads everything the file has to say about itself: container metadata, codec parameters, colour tagging. It won't fall back to defaults until it's exhausted every real source of truth.
Interpret
Four tiers (Profile, Tagged, Inferred, Fallback) and you can see which one won for each parameter. If the interpretation isn't what you expected, the receipt shows you exactly why.
Transform
CDL, OCIO views, LUTs: you build the chain you want, and the receipt shows exactly what's applied and in what order. Nothing hidden, nothing you can't undo.
Play
Real-time playback with the controls you'd expect: J/K/L shuttle, variable speed, loop regions, channel isolation. You can override the interpretation live and see what changes.
