Terms of Service.

Last updated: April 22, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Datum website, downloads, and desktop software. By buying, installing, or using the software, you agree to these terms.

Licence Grant

When you buy Datum, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the version covered by your purchase. The number of devices covered by a licence is the number stated at checkout.

Updates And Files

Each purchase includes twelve months of updates and maintenance from the purchase date. After that update window ends, the app keeps working. Your files remain open, readable, and under your control. We do not lock, degrade, or hold files hostage because a licence expires.

Acceptable Use

  • Use the software for lawful professional work.
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or redistribute the software except where law allows it.
  • Do not remove copyright notices or misrepresent the software as your own.

Payments And Refunds

Payments are handled through LemonSqueezy as merchant of record. Runtime licensing and update entitlement are managed by Datum. If you request a refund within fourteen days of purchase, we will process it through the same payment channel unless the law requires a different outcome. A refunded licence or update entitlement may be disabled by Datum.

Warranty Disclaimer

The software is provided on an "as is" basis. We work hard to make it reliable, but we do not promise that it will be error-free or that it will prevent data loss. Keep backups.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Datum is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the software, including lost profits, lost time, or lost data.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms when the product, pricing, or law changes. If the change is material, we will publish the new version before it applies.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
